Logan stepped out of the cavern into the mid-morning air. It felt great to be
outdoors again. His body was painted in sweat from the heat of the cavern,
but now, a welcome swift breeze cooled his body temperature.

I sure could use a bath, he thought to himself.

Stopping to rest for a few short moments, Logan reflected on his progress.
The castle was atop the mountain summit. How much farther did he have to go?

The walls of the mountain were too steep to climb, but this cliff wound
around the side of the peak. He had never climbed a mountain before, yet the
terrain of this one didnt require any to traverse. Far below him, he saw
trees, rocks, and even the Swamp of Death he had crossed in the moat Murlock
had prepared for him.

Questions raced through his mind as he journeyed on upward. What awaits me?
Do I have the skill to tackle the challenge before me? Will I ever get home
again? If I fail, what will happen to this land and to humanity?

Finally, the cliff ended upon flat ground. He had made it to the mountain
summit. Ahead, he saw the outer walls of the castle, but unfortunately the
gates were closed. How would he find a way in?

A moat surrounded the castle. His throat, his dry from the heat of the
cavern, demanded a drink. He knelt before the moat to quench his thirst.
Using his hands for a cup, he drank.

There appeared to be no signs of life in the moat. Apparently, Lazarus felt
there was no for any flesh-eating fish to defend it since no one had ever
tried to invade.

Taking a deep breath, he jumped into the moat and swam beneath the surface.

He looked around, keeping an eye out for hidden danger and for a carefully
concealed secret entrance.

In the north wall ahead of him, a small tunnel beckoned to him. He swam
through, his heart beating with excitement and hope. Could this be a secret
entrance to the castle?

At the end of the tunnel, a metal grate blocked his path. Beyond, Logan saw
the inside walls of a well.

Pulling out the Sword of Sky, Logan forced the grate open and swam through,
stashing the sword back into his trench coat.

Im in! He smiled. Boy, wont Garibaldi and the Scourge be surprised!
