Read this file after completing "Garibaldi's Tower"

All who tried to stop him had failed, laid to rest for all eternity within
this towering tomb. The Sword of Darkness, the very same weapon Garibaldi used
long ago to curse the land, the same blade imprisoning the spirit of a great
evil who took his soul in exchange for great power, was now within his hands.
Despite his joy at recovering the sword, Logan felt at the same time a chill
throughout his soul as if a fierce blizzard raged within him.

Just what power was this sword truly capable of considering what Garibaldi had
done with it? And what exactly was the evil spirit sealed within its obsidian
blade? Whatever it was, he didnt need or want to know.

Nevertheless, this weapon was the final component needed to create the one
artifact to undo the curse that had entombed the people in stone for a
thousand years. The Sword of Iconoclast was the key to releasing them.
Garibaldis days of power would soon come to an end. His iron grip over the
land was weakening.

Within the next room, Logan found a chamber containing four sets of stairs
leading down to a central platform upon which stood a crystal statue of a
beautiful maiden with twin ponytails.

Princess Minerva! He recognized her from the vision that Murlock had shown
him. Garibaldis unrequited love and Edwards betrothed.

With all resistance eliminated, the path was clear for Edward to reunite with
his lost true love. There was nothing left to do but turn back and bring
Edward here to undo the curse cast over Minerva.

He shut the door and began to long trip back down the tower to where Edward
was waiting for him.

Within fifteen minutes, he was back in the chamber, Edward by his side. The
two stood before the statue of a crystallized Minerva. Looking towards his
friend, Logan saw Edwards eyes begin to water as if a dams foundation
weakened within him.

Minerva... Edward whispered as tears flowed from his eyes and down his cheeks.
Minerva herself had seen what Edward had become under the power of Garibaldis
curse with the Sword of Earth. Now, Edward saw what had become of his beloved
at the hands of Garibaldi.

Edward climbed down one of the steps and stood before the platform where his
beloved stood encased in crystal.

That fiend! he growled. If he couldnt have her, he did this to her, all so
he could still treasure her for all eternity!

Calm yourself Edward, said Logan. We have the means to undo the curse. Do
you still have the Sword of Water?

Edward reached into the cloak he had stolen from the dungeon and pulled out
the sapphire blade.

Here, you do it, he said offering the hilt to Logan. I want to hold her in
my arms as she returns to normal. I want her to be with the one she loves the
moment she is free.

Logan took the sword into his hand. I understand, he said. Ever the
romantic, that bard.

Edwards words brought Logan back to a moment in life he would always
remember, to that evening when Katrina died. Just as Minerva would be in
Edwards arms as she was freed from Garibaldis curse, so too was Katrina in
the arms of the man she loved when death freed her tortured soul from a
mortally wounded body.

As Logan pointed the swords blade towards the crystal statue, Edward climbed
onto the platform, stood to the statue's side, wrapped his arms around his
true love. One arm went around her waist and another on her shoulder.

A bright blue neon light glowed from the blade and stretched towards the
statue. Upon touching it, the light surrounded the statue and began to glow
brighter than before.

Then, to Logans astonishment and Edwards joy, crystal began to transmogrify
back into flesh and fabric as Minerva was released from the power of the sword
that had imprisoned her for so long. She sagged in Edwards arms, the
strength in her legs weakened by ten centuries of being a crystal statue.

Logan lowered the sword and gazed upon Minerva as Edward stepped off the
platform with Minerva. She was as beautiful as he had seen in Murlocks vision.
Just like Katrina.

Minerva opened her eyes and blinked several times to allow her sight to adjust
to its new surroundings for the first time after a thousand years of being
frozen in time.

The princess turned her gaze towards Edward, his arms being the only thing
keeping her from falling to the floor. A joyful smile spread across her lips.
Edward...

Minerva... Edward whispered happily.

Tears of happiness spilled from the eyes of both the bard and his maiden.
After a thousand years, the lovers, long separated, were finally reunited.
Despite all odds and obstacles, love conquered all.

He pulled her closer to him while helping her stand up straight. Logan could
only watch in envy as their lips joined together. He and Katrina had shared
several kisses before, none so passionate as their last one just before she
died. Just as Katrina had died knowing that a man loved her and was there till
the bitter end, so too was Minerva now reminded that even after everything
that had happened, all that transpired, Edward still loved her. Nothing could
keep her from him.

My love... Edward said in a voice above a whisper. I missed you so much!
I missed you too Edward, said Minerva wept joyfully. I thought Id never
see you again!

Obviously, nothing else mattered to Edward now that he was with his beloved
again, since he had forgotten about Logans presence.

I always knew youd be there for me always, said Minerva. This is yet
another reason why I selected you.

Its been a thousand years Minerva, said Edward. A thousand years as a
tree has not in any way sapped the love I feel for you. Nothing could make
me forget you!

Edward... Minerva said gently pulling herself away, what did you just say?

For one thousand years Minerva, I have been cursed as a tree and you a
crystal statue.

Minerva was silent as this knowledge set in. She cupped one hand over her
mouth. Obviously, she was shocked at this revelation. A thousand years?
Whats happened to Iconoclast in my absence?

It was Garibaldi, said Edward with a frown. Not long after he imprisoned
you in crystal, he used the Sword of Darkness to curse Iconoclast. All human
life has been frozen in time and stone.

But how did you come all the way here? asked Minerva. How did you free
yourself? How did you know where to find me?

Edward smiled. Why not ask my friend? If it wasnt for him, I would not be
standing here, nor would we have ever found each other again. He stepped
aside.

Logan saw Minervas eyes widen and her mouth open so slightly as her eyes
fell upon the Sword of Water.

My fathers sword, she said, her voice quivering with fear.

Logan understood her fear. The sapphire blade, used against her by Garibaldi,
had imprisoned her in crystal and denied her of humanity and freedom for ten
long centuries. He held out the sword as an offering for the princess. With
trembling hands, Minerva took her fathers sword.

Majesty, Logan broke the silence. He started to bow his head, but Minerva
held up one hand.

Dont grovel stranger. This isnt a throne room. If anyone should bow, it
should be me. I have no idea who you are, but I am forever in your debt, not
only for recovering my fathers sword, but also for reuniting me with my
beloved Edward. And for that, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

His name is Logan, said Edward. He is an outsider from another world. He
single-handedly destroyed a vast portion of Garibaldis army and survived all
odds on this mission. He may be the kingdoms only hope for freedom.

I believe so, said Minerva. Perhaps that day will come soon.

It may be tomorrow if all goes well, said Edward.

Ahem, said Logan, hoping to catch their attention. I hate to interrupt this
happy reunion, but we have all four elemental swords and the Sword of Darkness.
The time has come for the Sword of Iconoclast to be created. Only this weapon
can undo Garibaldis curse. Only it can free the land and banish the shadow of
Garibaldis magic.

Logan pulled the Sword of Darkness from inside his trench coat. This weapon
has for a thousand years trapped this land in darkness and despair. Now, the
time has come for the weapon that shall destroy the darkness that has stifled
this land and imprisoned its people.

Hes right Edward, said Minerva. I am familiar with the story about the
Excalibur of Light and its power. About how the great Lazarus used it to
vanquish Raven Dark with its power. This is not the time for love right now.
We must do what we can to save this land, then we will be free to love for
all the time we shall receive.

I know, said Edward. Its all come down to this. If we dont act now, all
our efforts will have been in vain.

Hurry now, said Logan as he handed the Sword of Darkness to Edward. Back
to the Shrine of Elemental Destiny. Create the Sword of Iconoclast.

What about you Logan? asked Edward.

Ive got a score to settle with Garibaldi. As long as he breathes, this land
shall never come back to life, and humanity itself is still in grave danger.
If anyone is a match for him, its me.

Be careful Logan, said Minerva. Come Edward, lets go!

Edward nodded. Together, he and Minerva headed for the door back to the tower.

My friend, said Edward. If we all survive this, I will commemorate your
heroism with an epic ballad, so future generations will forever honor your
name and your deeds of valor. Good luck!

Luck had nothing to do with my progress. The only luck I ever needed was
skill!

We will come back once we have the sword, ready to aid you, said Minerva.
The door closed as they disappeared into the next room.

Logan readied his weapons. This is it! No turning back! I come for you soon
Garibaldi! It ends tonight, I swear it! The rest of your reign is going to be
measured in minutes!
