RIP 2 is the result of many months of hard graft; honing and testing and re-testing ad nauseam until I felt something approaching a 'definitive' CTF/BB map had emerged.

This is a large map by ordinary MP standards, but don't be fooled by its size. Numerous rat-runs and shortcuts, together with fast surface craft, allow you to traverse the entire length of the map in a few seconds.

Your knowledge of the layout will be your most lethal weapon.
To ensure adequate performance on most end-user systems, RIP 2 was developed and tested on 'Doris', a low-end P133, 48Mb RAM PC with 2Mb S3 Trio 64v+ video card.

The editor was Mapedit 1.11 running in plain Blood 1.11. No Plasma Pak art or features are used, although RIP 2 runs fine under all Blood versions from 1.11 up.

RIP 2 is fully functional in modem and serial play. You should launch RIP 2 via the supplied RIP2.BAT file.

Some parts of the RIP environment are distinctly hostile by design, while others can be made so at either player's discretion.

You should spend some time alone, investigating the terrain before embarking on a competitive Bloodbath or CTF.

Every insight you can gain will be to your serious advantage. Pay attention to all you see: the Devil is in the detail. Enjoy!
